Nature Wellbeing for Young People
Friday Wellbeing Tribes for Young People
Who it's for
Tribes are available for young people aged 7 to 16 who aren’t currently attending school — whether due to anxiety, other challenges, or simply needing something different. Everyone is welcome, just as they are.
To begin with, young people are invited to attend alongside a parent or guardian, gently building confidence and independence at their own pace. As each tribe becomes more settled, sessions may become just for the young people, with adults dropping off and collecting at the end.
There’s no pressure to follow a set path — each young person is supported in a way that suits their needs, with plenty of space to go at their own speed.
The location - Little Elses Wood - Sevenoaks Weald
A beautiful, peaceful and private woodland.
Permeanent seating and shelter.
Car parking and toilet facilities on site.
Located less than 10 minutes from central Sevenoaks.
What to Expect
Each session is thoughtfully shaped around the needs and interests of the group, with every activity offered as an invitation — never a requirement.
At the heart of every tribe are our shared values:
I respect myself
I respect others
I respect the environment
These values are gently woven into everything we do.
Sessions typically run for two hours and include outdoor games and movement inspired by nature — from cooperative games to mindful movement and nature-based play — followed by a natural craft or bushcraft activity, and time around the campfire to connect, reflect, and enjoy some refreshments together.
Summer sessions
I'd love to welcome you to Little Elses this summer for a chance to experience what Wellbeing Tribe is all about. Whether you'd like to meet informally for a short walk around the site, or join one of the free one-hour taster sessions in August, you’d be very welcome.
Taster sessions available:
Craft and Campfire
Music and Marshmallows
Trees and Treats
How to join
To ensure each tribe is a good fit, referring professionals and families self-referring young people are kindly asked to complete a referral form.
