Wellbeing Tribe

Reconnect. Restore. Grow.
Wellbeing Tribe is a wilderness therapeutic group intervention designed to support young people’s mental health and wellbeing through nature-based experiences.

Delivered in natural settings, this 6–8 week group intervention combines wilderness activities and therapeutic practice. Sessions may include:

  • Team-building games

  • Fire skills

  • Outdoor cooking

  • Shelter building

  • Nature crafts

  • Mindfulness & meditation

  • Guided walks & wildlife exploration

    Tailored for Impact
Each participant is referred via a form, followed by a planning meeting with the school to agree on individual goals. The programme is then tailored using referral information and ongoing observations.

    Who It’s For
Ideal for pupils needing support with mental health, school attendance, or simply time to recharge and connect—with themselves, nature, and each other.

    How It Works
Sessions (usually 2 or 4 hours) are based around a “base camp”—a communal space for preparation, reflection, and gathering. From here, the group ventures into the wild, developing resilience, trust, and teamwork.

    Example Session:

    • Welcome & check-in

    • Game

    • Breathing exercise

    • Guided hike (firewood collecting, wildlife ID, sit spot)

    • Return to basecamp for a bushcraft/natural craft activity

    • Shared lunch/snack around the fire

    • Group reflection
